Terms of use
Nothing is sold on this site. The price in our reply is the one we hold for seven days.
These are the terms for using the Xervilo bicycle parts catalog and for sending us an inquiry. Thirteen sections. The short version: browse, ask, get a checked part and an indicative price, then decide.
1. Effective date
These terms took effect on 7 October 2026. They apply every time you use xervilo.com, and to every inquiry sent on or after that date. An inquiry sent earlier stays under the terms that applied when you sent it.
2. Who you are dealing with
Xervilo, trading at xervilo.com, from 68 Cedar Court, Office 12, Austin, Texas 28613, Austin, Texas, United States. When these terms say "we" or "the desk", they mean Xervilo. "You" means the person using the site or sending the inquiry.
3. What the site does, and what it does not
The site is a catalogue of replacement parts, consumables and compatible components for road, city and kids' bikes. It carries reference tables (chain widths, freehub standards, ISO bead-seat diameters, clamp sizes), a chain length calculator, and a way to send us your bike's details.
It does not sell bicycles. It does not repair bikes, book workshop time or give a fitting service. It has no cart and no checkout. The reference tables and the calculator are aids for you to read your own bike; they are not a substitute for a check by us or by a mechanic who has the bike in front of them.
4. Inquiry only, and how an inquiry becomes an order
No sale is made and no payment is taken on this site. Any figure on a catalogue page, such as "indicative from $24" for a chain, is an estimate to tell you the range. It is not a binding quote and it is not an offer you can accept by clicking.
- You send an inquiry with the bike's details: speed count, wheel size, brake mount, and a photo if we ask for one.
- We run the compatibility check and reply by email or phone with the part, the check we ran, and a price in USD.
- That price is held for seven days from the date of our reply.
- If you confirm in writing within those seven days, we agree payment and delivery with you outside this site, and that confirmation is the order.
No reply from you means no order. We do not chase.
5. How prices are set
Prices are in US dollars. The figure in our reply is per part as named in that reply, for example per chain with quick link, per pad set, per pair of wheels. Shipping and any sales tax are stated as separate lines.
What can change a price before you confirm: the supplier's price moving, the part going out of stock and a substitute being needed, or new information about the bike (a 451 rim where you told us 406, a post-mount frame where you said flat-mount). After the seven-day hold the price is re-checked. Inside the hold, we keep it, unless the part we quoted turns out not to fit because of details you gave us wrongly.
6. What you may not do here
- Send inquiries in someone else's name or with someone else's contact details.
- Flood the form or chat with automated or bulk messages.
- Try to reach parts of the server that are not linked from public pages, or probe it for weaknesses.
- Scrape the catalogue or the reference tables to republish them as your own.
- Upload or paste anything unlawful, abusive or carrying malware.
7. Who owns the words and pictures
The text, photographs, tables, the calculator and the Xervilo name and logo belong to Xervilo or are used under licence. You may print a page or save a table for your own bike work. You may not reuse them commercially without written permission. Part makers' names, such as Shimano or SRAM, belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
8. What we do not promise
The site is provided as it is. We keep the tables accurate and fix errors when we find them, but we do not warrant that every figure is free of error, or that the site is always online. The calculator gives a starting link count; a chain is still checked on the bike before it is cut.
The compatibility check in our reply is only as good as the details you send. Count the cogs. If we ask for a photo of the rear dropout, send it before we quote. Parts themselves carry the maker's warranty, passed through as set out on the warranty and returns page.
9. Limit of liability
For using the site and receiving an inquiry reply, which is free, our liability is limited to the extent Texas law allows. For an order you confirm, our total liability for that order is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as a missed ride or event. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not let us exclude.
10. When we stop answering
We can refuse an inquiry, block access to the form or chat, or end a conversation if these terms are broken, if messages are abusive, or if the traffic looks automated. We can also decline any inquiry we cannot check properly, such as a hydraulic brake part with no fluid type named. A refusal before you confirm an order costs you nothing.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Texas, United States. Any dispute is heard in the courts of Austin. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any protections the law where you live gives you and cannot be waived.
12. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, the new wording goes on this page with a new date at the top. A change never alters a price already held for you in a reply. If a change affects an open inquiry, we mention it in our next email to you.
