Data request
Ask what we hold about you, and get a full answer within 30 days.
Our bicycle parts catalog keeps very little about the people who use it. Mostly it is what you typed into an inquiry or the chat, plus the answer you gave the cookie bar. You can see every line of it and have it fixed or removed. Use the form at the bottom of this page, or write to [email protected].
01 / Scope
Who can ask
Anyone who has sent us an inquiry, used the chat or visited the site can make a request, wherever they live.
We do not sort requests by state. A customer in Austin and a customer in Ohio get the same answer and the same deadline. If you are asking on behalf of someone else, a parent for a teenager who sent us the details of a 24 inch bike, for example, tell us so in the notes and we will ask for something that shows you can act for them.
Businesses that buy parts from us for a fleet of city bikes can use the same route for the contact person named on their inquiries.

What we hold
Five kinds of record, and nothing about you that you did not type yourself or that your browser did not send.
| Record | What is in it | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Inquiry | Name, phone, email, address if given, the kind of part, your notes and bike spec | The inquiry form |
| Chat thread | Messages, a token, and a name, phone or email if you gave one | The support chat widget |
| Our reply | The parts, compatibility checks and indicative prices we sent | The parts desk |
| Consent choice | Allow or decline, and when | The cookie bar, stored in your browser |
| Ad click identifier | gclid, msclkid or fbclid | The ad link you clicked, kept only if you allow storage |
Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising send paid traffic to this site, and Meta ads may. When you arrive from one of those ads, the link carries a click identifier. Consent Mode v2 holds ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage at denied until you press Allow, and sets them back to denied if you decline. The full account is on the privacy policy and the cookie policy. Microsoft explains its own handling of msclkid in the Microsoft privacy statement.
03 / Requests
What you can ask for
A copy, a correction, a deletion, or an end to ad measurement. Pick one or ask for several at once.
- A copy. We send every record from the table above that carries your name, phone or email, as a plain text export. No charge.
- A correction. Wrong phone number, wrong delivery address, the wrong bike on file. We fix it and tell you what changed.
- Deletion. We remove your inquiries, chat threads and replies, except the records described in section 06.
- No ad measurement. Press Decline on the cookie bar, or use the button below. We also mark your inquiry so it is never sent to an ad platform as a conversion.
- An appeal. If we refuse any part of a request, we say why in writing. Reply to that message and a second person on the desk reviews it.
04 / Identity
How we check it is you
We answer to the email or phone number already on the inquiry, and nowhere else.
A request from the same email address that sent the original inquiry is enough. If you write from a new address, we send a short code to the one on file and ask you to read it back. We will not send an export to an address we have never seen. That rule exists because the most common bad request is someone trying to get a delivery address.
We never ask for a driver's licence or a card number to verify you. If anyone claiming to be us does, it is not us.
05 / Clock
Timing
Receipt confirmed within one business day, Mon to Fri. The request done within 30 days.
- Receipt confirmed1 business day
- Copy, correction or deletion completed30 days
- Appeal answered30 days
Most requests are done in two or three days. The record set is small. If something holds us past 30 days, we write before the deadline, say why, and give a new date.
06 / Exceptions
What we keep anyway
Records tied to a part that actually shipped stay for as long as tax and warranty rules need them.
If you accepted a reply and a part went out, we keep the order line: the part, the price, the date and the delivery address. A manufacturer warranty claim on a rear derailleur or a wheelset needs it, and so does the tax record. Everything else about you goes. Your chat messages, your notes and any other inquiry are deleted.
An open order is the other exception. We finish it or cancel it first, then delete. See wrong-fit returns and warranty for how long a return stays open.
07 / Send it
The request form
Give us a name and the email or phone you used before. One of the two is enough.
